J'adore Dior (hardly creative, but it works)...

This past weekend was the Nordstrom's fall trend show. I love going to these things. Not only is it fun time with my lady friends, but I love ogling all the new products. Seriously, I read so many magazines a month, I know every trend before we get to the show, but it's fun all the same. You get a box breakfast, watch a runway show, hope your name is called for giveaways, and plot your path for gifts with purchase. You can also get your makeup done at your favorite counter. I couldn't partake in the makeover this time because I was going to be moving afterward, but I'm going to go make friends at the Chanel counter so I can get my makeup done by them!

The most attractive GWP offer (in my view) was the Dior offer. Buy two products, get an evening bag filled with mini-Dior samples. It was the perfect excuse to get some Diorshow Mascara and its partner-in-crime, Diorshow Unlimited. I know giant lashes, smoky eyes and red lips are IT this season, so I was all about the promise of ginormous lashes with no glue.

Even though I was going to be all sweaty in about an hour, I couldn't resist playing with my new purchases. I was a little taken aback by the HUGE brush for the Diorshow. It's the biggest mascara brush I've ever seen - I was scared to put it near my eye! One swoop gave me a lovely day eye. Two coats and Holy Cats - I was half-way to Liza-rific eyes. I finished it off by adding a top coat of Diorshow Unlimited for ridiculously long, full lashes. My mascara lasted all day, no flaking or smearing despite my exertions.

I also purchased a tube of Dior Addict lipstick in Violet Spectrum. I don't have any plummy lipsticks, so I was happy to find one that works on me. It's a lovely color for daytime and it lasts a long time (especially for a perle). I will definitely head back there for some creme shades.
